Lafayette, CA - April 9, 2026 - Stewart Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning has announced an in-kind donation to Hugs for Harry Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on saving and rehabilitating vulnerable dogs throughout the Bay Area. The company donated and installed a 40-gallon electric water heater at the rescue's facility, addressing a critical infrastructure need and supporting improved animal care operations.

The water heater will serve two specific functions at the facility: powering an in-house laundry system and supplying hot water to a dog washing station. Both additions are considered essential for maintaining sanitation standards, proper hygiene, and consistent grooming practices for the animals in the rescue's care. The upgrades are also expected to reduce recurring operational expenses for the organization.

Hugs for Harry transitioned to a new location in Lafayette, California, in January 2026. The expanded facility offered additional space to accommodate the rescue's growing operations, but the move introduced a number of infrastructure challenges. Access to functional plumbing and reliable hot water were identified as pressing priorities, yet financial limitations had stalled progress on those improvements prior to Stewart Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning's involvement.
